How Has Your Classroom Made a Difference?

How Has Your Classroom Made a Difference?

Service-learning is a broad spectrum term that describes the act of organized students doing good deeds in the community to make a difference. It can be as simple as having students pick up trash around a river or as complex as building a homeless shelter. Either way, its effects benefit the community and benefit the students. They learn a valuable lesson about becoming a citizen and helping the community they live in.

Many service-learning programs are underfunded or rely completely on grants and donations. This is where Inter-State Studio comes in. We want your school to continue its service-learning initiatives and we’re offering three cash prizes to help you do just that. All you have to do is fill out an entry form. It asks questions like: How does your project integrate into and enhance your curriculum? And how does your project meet a community need? Answer these simple questions and include a picture of your service learning group in action to be entered to win up to $750! You only have until March 19th to enter, so click today!
