Custom Yearbook Cover Requirements

Turn a Photograph, Artwork or your own Custom Design into your custom yearbook cover. This page is your go-to resource for size requirements, design spec and how to submit your artwork for your yearbook cover.

Let’s get started designing your Custom Yearbook Cover!

CUSTOM COVER DESIGN SPECS

Your CUSTOM YEARBOOK COVER FILES must meet our minimum resolution requirements before it can be successfully uploaded. Your final file that will be uploaded to Cover Design Studio (our easy to use Cover Upload Program) will need to be:

19.5 x 12.75 inches at 300 dpi – or – 5858 pixels x 3825 pixels

Please remember Cover Design Studio is not a custom cover creation tool, but is only used to upload your final cover file for publication. This gives you the opportunity and flexibility to design your custom cover in the software program you are most comfortable using like Photoshop or InDesign.

If your final file does not meet the requirements listed above it will not pass the resolution check when you submit your final file in Cover Design Studio. This is to ensure your cover prints with the best quality!

OVERLAY DESIGN TEMPLATES

It is important before you begin designing your cover that you download two overlay templates that we have designed for your ease. These two overlays can be applied directly into your design program as a layer within your document.

The overlays will give a visual of areas that might be cut off, wrapped or covered up by your student name and/or image personalization selection. Click the buttons below to download.

Once you click on the buttons above, right-click and save the image to your computer. You can then add as a layer into the design program you are using.
